Aaron M. Cohn

Aaron Cohn is a litigator and trusted business advisor with nearly 20 years of experience helping clients navigate high stakes disputes, complex transactions, and day to day corporate challenges. Equally comfortable in the courtroom and the boardroom, Aaron serves as both a fierce advocate and strategic outside general counsel, providing practical, business focused legal solutions to companies ranging from emerging startups to established enterprises. 

Aaron maintains a diverse commercial litigation practice, representing clients in matters involving investment fraud, construction defects, land use disputes, trade secrets and other soft intellectual property issues, professional liability claims, corporate divorce, consumer protection matters, and complex contract disputes. He is known for developing thoughtful litigation strategies that align with his clients' broader business objectives while positioning them for successful outcomes in court, mediation, or arbitration.

In his role as outside general counsel, Aaron advises businesses on corporate governance, organizational structuring, compliance, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution. He regularly drafts and negotiates a wide range of commercial agreements, including master service agreements, commercial contracts, user agreements, and joint venture and partnership agreements, helping clients build strong legal foundations as they grow. 

Aaron also maintains an active advisory and defense practice focused on data privacy, consumer communications, and compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). He counsels businesses on evolving regulatory obligations while defending clients against class action and other complex consumer claims. 

A portion of Aaron's practice is dedicated to serving as a strategic partner to emerging and high growth companies, particularly in the energy sector. He advises founders and business leaders through every stage of the business lifecycles, from entity formation and financing to operational growth and long-term strategic planning.

Aaron earned his undergraduate degree in economics from  the University of California, Berkeley, his Master of Science from the London School of Economics, and his law degree from the George Washington University Law School, where he was recognized as a Thurgood Marshall Scholar each semester.
