"Overwhelmed CFTC Can Only Warn Seniors About Retirement Savings."

In an article published on July 19, 2024, in Daily Business Review, Aaron Cohn discussed the struggles facing the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as it works to keep up with precious metals fraudsters targeting of seniors and its recent guidance on the matter.

“While the CFTC’s recent guidance offers solid advice to investors in an industry rife with fraud, the problem is that very few people know about it—and almost none of the potential victims of these schemes will find the guidance. In other words, the guidance is more or less useless,” Cohn said. “The CFTC needs more resources to do its job effectively, including more outreach to the public. Until that happens, the moles will continue winning.”
