Overview
Heaven Begum is an associate in the firm's Atlanta office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, including general liability, transportation matters, premises liability and negligent security, products liability, and catastrophic injury.
Before joining the firm, Heaven served as a summer associate, where she gained experience working on a variety of litigation matters.
Heaven earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from Emory University School of Law. During law school, she served as a Student Attorney with both the Juvenile Defender Clinic and the Barton Child Law and Policy Center. She also served as a Staff Editor for the Emory Corporate Governance and Accountability Review and as a Teaching Assistant.
Prior to law school, Heaven graduated with Distinction from the University of Virginia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with a concentration in the Middle East & South Asia and a minor in American Sign Language & Deaf Culture. As a QuestBridge Match Scholar, she attended on a full-ride scholarship. She served as President of the QuestBridge Scholars Network chapter and remained committed to community service by mentoring and tutoring local high school students, organizing fundraisers, and planning community engagement events.
