Daniela LaBounty's practice focuses on complex civil litigation with an emphasis on catastrophic injury, mass tort, product liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation. Daniela regularly represents clients involving excess insurance coverage, and she often gets pulled into cases by clients during the final stages of litigation before trial.

Her thoughtful litigation approach allows her to connect with clients, and her evaluation of cases and legal analysis has contributed to the resolution of high exposure cases on the eve of trial, as well as favorable verdicts. In addition to representing clients at all stages of litigation, she also assists clients navigate pre-litigation disputes. 

Daniela is admitted to all state and federal courts in Nevada and Utah and has successfully defended clients and represented clients in other jurisdictions, including Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah.

During law school, Daniela served as Special Assignments Editor for the Nevada Law Journal, and she was certified for limited practice as a student attorney in the Thomas Mack Legal Clinic, representing clients seeking asylum and successfully obtained relief for a client under the United Nations Convention against torture. She continues to represent individuals in immigration court pro bono. She is fluent in Spanish.

Representative Experience

Defended national hotel chain against high exposure claims for traumatic brain injury arising from slip on marble flooring.

Defended global beverage company at arbitration against claims arising from a broken bottle. 

Member of defense team that represented trucking company against high exposure claims for catastrophic injuries arising from head on collision. 

Member of defense team that successfully limited plaintiff to a jury verdict of $524,000 in a traumatic brain injury case, and beating client's offer of judgment by nearly two million dollars, with plaintiff ultimately recovering only 1.5% of his requested damages.  

Member of defense team that represented a vacation rental management company at a ski resort against high exposure wrongful death and catastrophic injuries arising from a fireplace explosion and fire. 

Member of defense team representing national tobacco manufacturer in high exposure product liability and deceptive trade practices litigation.
