Cindy Duque-Bonilla Honored with HNBA Top Lawyers Under 40 Award

ORLANDO (February 17, 2016) --- WWHGD attorney Cindy Duque-Bonilla was chosen by the Hispanic National Bar Association to receive the prestigious “HNBA Top Lawyers Under 40 Award.”  This year saw a record number of nominations. Awarded to only twenty attorneys across the country, honorees are recognized for their professional achievements and for exemplifying the highest ethical standards and commitment to their communities, the legal profession, and the HNBA’s mission.  

Cindy focuses her practice in the areas of construction law, product liability defense and commercial litigation. During her fourteen years in practice, she has represented Fortune 500 companies, small and mid-sized companies, general contractors, project owners and developers, and product designers and manufacturers.    She has extensive experience representing general contractors, owners and design professionals in a variety of construction litigation matters. In the area of product liability defense, Cindy represents product designers and manufacturers in product defect cases, foodborne illness, personal injury matters, wrongful death matters and class action litigation. She also has widespread experience in representing business entities in a wide array of commercial disputes. Cindy’s dedication to every client and every case, while employing effective and efficient solution strategies, has been the key to obtaining favorable results for clients in complex commercial disputes, construction disputes, mass tort litigation and high-stakes liability matters. 

As a Past President for Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida (“HBACF”), Cindy is extremely active in the Hispanic and local community. During her leadership of the HBACF, the Association established the first ever law student scholarship fund in Central Florida, and continues to provide annual scholarships to local Hispanic law students.  Cindy volunteers as a guest speaker for the Hispanic community educational program “Conozca Sus Derechos” on the topic of construction law and other consumer protection issues.  Additionally, she volunteers with the Orange County Bar Association’s Teen Court Program.  Cindy received her B.A. magna cum laude from Rollins College prior to attending​ the University of Miami Law School where she graduated magna cum laude
