Billy Gunn Featured in Tort Reform Roundtable

Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial partner Billy Gunn was featured in a panel discussion on Tort Reform sponsored by the Fulton County Daily Report. The event resulted in the publication of an article, "Tempest Over Tort Reform," in the March 17, 2004 edition. Following is the article's introduction:

In the Georgia and U.S. legislatures, tort reform is a contentious issue. Most Republicans want to limit damages and put a $250,000 cap per case on noneconomic damages; many Democrats want to check what they view as frivolous suits and defenses. In a panel discussion facilitated by The Daily Report, Georgia plaintiffs and defense attorneys discuss the verdicts, awards and statistics they believe point to or away from the need for tort reform.
