Overview

Eleanor Jolley is a Partner in the firm's Atlanta office whose practice focuses on defending clients in complex litigation matters involving premises liability, negligent security, transportation and trucking, and construction disputes. She represents a broad range of clients, including commercial property owners and operators, national retailers, management companies, financial institutions, hotels, motor carriers, logistics companies, and subcontractors. 

Drawing on experience representing clients in state and federal courts, Eleanor works with clients through all stages of litigation and dispute resolution. Her practice is guided by a strategic and detail-oriented approach to resolving disputes while advancing her clients' business objectives. 

In addition to her litigation practice, Eleanor has a strong background in legal research and writing. She has authored and co-authored multiple legal publications and remains passionate about the analytical and advocacy skills that form the foundation of effective litigation. 

Eleanor earned her Juris Doctor from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law, where she served as Articles and Symposium Editor of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and was active in several advocacy-focused programs. During law school, she also participated in the Judge Abraham Caruthers Teaching Assistant Program and served as a Pupil in the Judge James Edwin Horton American Inn of Court. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Vanderbilt University.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained dismissal for a multinational corporation accused of negligent and wantonly operating and maintaining its fuel-branded gas stations.
  • Secured summary judgment in an alleged negligent security case involving a national self-storage facility, in which property was allegedly tampered with and stolen.
  • Secured summary judgment in a premises liability case in which the plaintiff sustained injuries after falling on an allegedly hazardous condition at a client's retail location.
