Overview

Austin is a distinguished member of our legal team, specializing in a diverse range of litigation areas in both state and federal courts. His practice areas encompass construction claims, personal injury, and general, premises, professional, and products liability.

Prior to earning his Juris Doctor, Austin honed his legal acumen through multiple internships, gaining experience across a variety of legal fields. He interned with the Winston County and Madison County District Attorney's offices, where he gained experience in criminal law, and with David Cottingham, Chapter 13 Trustee for the Northern District of Alabama, Western Division, where he gained experience in bankruptcy matters. He also interned with Luther, Collier, Hodges, & Cash, gaining experience in personal injury matters. As a summer clerk for the Honorable Samuel Junkin of the Alabama 24th Judicial Circuit and the Honorable Corey Maze of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, Austin gained exposure to a variety of other areas of law. These foundational experiences greatly influenced Austin's approach as an attorney, granting him the ability to analyze cases from many different perspectives, encouraging creative solutions for many different problems.

Austin earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of law in 2026. While in law school, he was a member of the Thurgood Marshall Memorial Moot Court Competition Team, the Alabama Moot Court Board, Alabama's Criminal Law Clinic, Alabama's Mediation Clinic, the Order of the Samaritan, and the Atticus Finch Fellowship. He also received the Public Interest Student Board Pro Bono Award, served as a representative on the SGA Elections Board, and was the president of the American Civic Republicans. Austin earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations and Criminal Justice, both summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama in 2023. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board, and served as president of the Alabama Archery Club.

Beyond his legal practice, Austin has served as volunteer firefighter for the community of Helicon, Alabama, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach for American Top Team Tuscaloosa, and an active volunteer with multiple other local organizations. He also became a D1 All-American in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu during his second year of law school. His involvement in these organizations reflects his commitment to serving both his clients and his community.

At WWHGD, Austin continues to demonstrate his dedication to legal excellence and his unwavering commitment to his clients. He is a valuable asset to our team and an advocate for justice.
