Cameron T. Ziegler

Cameron Ziegler brings a strong work ethic and a team-oriented approach to his legal practice, values that were shaped by his lifelong involvement in sports.

Growing up, Cameron spent much of his free time playing basketball and football and developed an early appreciation for the discipline, preparation, teamwork, and perseverance that sports require. After his playing days, he continued his involvement in basketball by coaching a youth AAU team in Houston. Those experiences continue to influence Cameron's approach to practicing law, where he emphasizes preparation, collaboration, and persistence in pursuing the best possible outcome for his clients.

Cameron's practice primarily focuses on civil litigation, subrogation, and insurance-related matters. He represents clients in commercial litigation, transportation litigation, first-party defense, and premises liability litigation, including oil well/rig incidents, actual defect and negligent security/shooting incidents. His subrogation experience includes claims involving defective manufacturing equipment, defective HVAC systems, and contaminated food products across multiple jurisdictions. His practice also includes providing insurance coverage opinions and analysis, as well as evaluating defense and indemnity obligations, and other issues arising under insurance policies and contractual agreements. Cameron works closely with clients, insurers, and claims professionals to assess litigation and coverage issues, develop practical strategies, and effectively navigate complex disputes.

Cameron earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, with a minor in History, from Baylor University. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. While at Baylor, Cameron worked in Baylor Athletics' Fan Engagement department. During law school, he was a member of the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal and The Advocates, while also participating in programs and coursework focused on developing his litigation skills.

A native Houstonian, Cameron has deep roots in the Houston area and remains closely connected to the community. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time on the golf course, following Baylor athletics, and spending time with his wife and their dog exploring the Houston food scene together. 

• Personal injury auto accident. In an admitted liability case, the defense focused on the unreasonable and unnecessary future medical treatment for the plaintiff. The jury agreed, and returned a verdict of 4% of what plaintiff asked for. Cause No. 2021-016-CIV, 63rd Judicial District Court, Val Verde County, Texas, Maria Reyna, et al. v. John C. Blount, et al.
• Personal injury premises liability. This was a case in which plaintiff alleged he was injured from a Christmas tree on display at his local Kroger. As a result of the injury, plaintiff claimed $460,000 in lost wages and loss of earning capacity. Secured summary judgment as to these claims, severely minimizing plaintiff's damage model and led to a favorable settlement. • Personal injury premises liability. This was a case in which plaintiff was injured while placing Christmas lights on defendants' home. Specifically, plaintiff fell off the home while nobody was at the home. Secured summary judgment on all of plaintiff's claims, which included negligence, premises liability, and gross negligence.
