Al Maxwell Presenting at 6th National Forum on Foodborne Illness Litigation

Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn & Dial, LLC partner Al Maxwell was co-chair of the American Conference Institute's 6th National Forum on Food Borne Illness Litigation. The conference took place November 29, 2012 in Chicago, IL. Mr. Maxwell presented on “Third Party Auditor Risk Assessment Post-Title III: Addressing Liability When Something Goes Wrong.” He presented along with William Marler of Marler Clark, LLP in Seattle, WA. His presentation covered the steps for screening procedures of third party auditors, evaluating pros and cons of third party auditors, ensuring the integrity of a third party audit, delineating liability between the auditor and the audited, how to respond to a government investigation, lessons learned from 2011 and what the FDA's proposed regulations on third party auditors will look like under Title III.
