Matthew Gomes Joins WWHGD’s Employment Litigation Team in Atlanta

Matthew Gomes, who has an extensive background representing clients in a variety of employment matters, including non-compete agreements, discrimination and harassment claims, wage-hour disputes, trade secrets, unions, occupational safety and health, and ERISA litigation, joined Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial as Special Of Counsel Partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment Litigation practice.

Mr. Gomes represents employers in federal and state courts and before government agencies in a variety of employment-related claims. In addition to his litigation expertise, Mr. Gomes provides preventative counseling and training to clients regarding day-to-day human resources issues such as discipline, discharge, reductions-in-force, employee handbooks, employment agreements and affirmative action plans. He has been named “Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend magazine and a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers and Atlanta magazines.

Mr. Gomes received his B.A., with distinction, from the University of North Carolina. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
