"Abbott Exec Told to 'Manage Out' Older Workers, 9th Cir. Says, Reviving Suit."

In an article published by HR Drive on October 26, Partner Matt Gomes is quoted discussing age discrimination in the workplace. 

On October 20, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals held that an Abbott Laboratories employee should get a second chance at his age discrimination suit, citing the example that an executive said she was told to "manage out" older workers. 

"When planning layoffs or reorganizations - especially such moves that affect those making the most money who tend to be more senior - employers should proceed with caution," Gomes explains.
