William "Bill" Drury

Bill Drury is a Partner in Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial's Phoenix office.

He is known throughout Arizona and nationally for his ability in a courtroom and for being a first-chair trial attorney who is called upon to defend clients’ most difficult, high-profile cases.

Bill has been practicing for more than 40 years and has tried more than 150 jury cases.   He has a notable record of success in matters ranging from product liability, healthcare liability, and transportation litigation. Many of those cases involved catastrophic injury and wrongful death. 

Bill’s achievements have caught the attention not only of clients but also of the business and legal communities. He has been recognized by Arizona Business Magazine’s “Top 100 Lawyers” and named a “Top Lawyer” by the magazine Healthcare Law.

Bill has also been recognized for many years by Best Lawyers in America; named by Best Lawyers as “Lawyer of the Year” in  Product Liability Litigation – Defense in the Phoenix, Arizona area; repeatedly recognized by Super Lawyers; honored by Chartis Insurance as one of its “Top Ten Lawyers”; and is recognized by both Chambers USA and Benchmark Litigation. 

Bill has been equally invested in his community through a variety of charitable organizations.  As an original co-founder of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Bill was instrumental in creating an organization that has granted the wishes of hundreds of thousands of children diagnosed with terminal or life-threatening medical conditions.

Bill has served as a member of the Drake University Board of Trustees, was a past chair of the Drake University National Alumni Board, and was a member of the Arizona State University Sun Devil Club Board of Directors. 

Bill has also been active in numerous professional organizations. He is currently a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, was a former chairman of ALFA International, and was a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
