Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial Welcomes Stephen A. Walsh to the Birmingham Office

Birmingham, Ala., March 13, 2019 – Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial is pleased to announce the addition of Stephen A. Walsh as a partner in the litigation practice group in the firm’s Birmingham, Alabama office. Walsh previously served as a partner at Adams and Reese.

Over his 20-year career, he has developed an outstanding reputation within the community and among his clients. Stephen’s ability to identify litigation risks and advise clients on strategic business decisions is a great asset to our clients and award-winning litigation team.”

Walsh represents a wide variety of industries in various business and litigation matters with a focus on business agreements, commercial contracts, banking, real estate, and employment and professional liability claims. On the litigation side, he represents companies in cases involving business and shareholder disputes, consumer finance claims, and employment claims relating to covenants not-to-compete, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Additionally, Walsh has extensive experience counseling financial services companies, manufacturers, construction companies, engineering firms and staffing companies during the procurement and contract negotiation stages. He also regularly assists his clients during technology transactions by negotiating third-party service provider and vendor agreements.

Representative of his work, Walsh has been ranked in multiple top legal listings, including Alabama Super Lawyers in Civil Litigation Defense, B-Metro and BHM Biz’s “Top Attorneys” and Best Lawyers in Employment Law / Management. He was also awarded the UAB School of Natural Science and Mathematics’ Outstanding Alumnus Award.

Outside of his practice, Walsh serves as an active member of the Alabama Bar Institute’s CLE Employment and Banking Law Planning Committees and serves on the UAB College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Leadership Council. He is active in several associations including the Alabama Bankers Association, the Alabama Association of General Contractors and the Alabama Trucking Association. Additionally, Walsh sits on the Board of Editors for the Alabama Lawyer.

Walsh earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his law degree at the University of Alabama School of Law.
