Some recent cases of this practice group include:
- New Mexico: Successfully defended trailer manufacturer in case arising out of overturned vehicle-trailer combination resulting in massive brain injuries.
- Georgia: Defense of case involving allegedly defective brake system on fleet of leased trucks which allegedly led to five deaths and severe brain injuries to a child. The case mistried after one week, but then settled on very favorable terms.
- Missouri: Called upon only weeks before trial to handle rear-end collision between a tractor-trailer and farm tractor that caused significant brain and orthopedic injuries to the farmer; case settled just before closing argument for the amount of the last defense offer.
- Tennessee: Verdict against client that struck parked vehicle injuring all four occupants $2.2 million less than plaintiffs’ last demand.
- Virginia: Verdict in the exact amount of last offer in wrongful death claim brought by the Estate of the decedent homemaker.
- Missouri: Defended a national trucking company in Kansas City in a case involving catastrophic brain injury which resulted in favorable judgment for a WWHGD client.
- Arkansas: Obtained a favorable verdict for an international bottling company in Monticello in a case involving severe brain injury to a young child and the deaths of two siblings.
- New Jersey: Represented trucker and company against multiple wrongful death claims arising from accident on the New Jersey turnpike that collectively settled for less than $4 million.
