Tim Mott is a member in Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial’s nationally-recognized Litigation Practice Group and has represented corporations, including Fortune 500 companies, and some of the largest insurance companies in the world in various cases, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death actions throughout the United States. Clients have entrusted Tim with high-exposure cases premised on product liability, premise liability, torts, and transportation, among others.
Tim was selected to participate in the 41st Annual International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy at Stanford University. The rigorous eight-day Academy provided Tim an opportunity to work with and learn from the most prominent defense attorney’s in the United States, and he has been able to utilize the skills and resources obtained from the Academy in his every day practice.
Tim graduated magna cum laude from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2012. While in law school, Tim was selected by his peers to serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the Nevada Law Journal. He also served as a Judicial Extern for then Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court District of Nevada Mike K. Nakagawa; served as a mediator at the Saltman Center for Dispute Resolution; and received the CALI Award in his Lawyering Process III course.
Upon graduating from law school, Tim received the prestigious William S. Boyd Outstanding Graduate Award which recognized scholastic achievement, overall leadership and contributions to the law school community. He also received the Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers Award, which recognized excellence in legal writing while in law school. His law school peers nominated him to represent the 2012 graduating class at the Commencement Ceremony by speaking alongside Governor Brian Sandoval.
Prior to law school, Tim attended Dixie State University where he obtained his degree in Business Administration and was the starting catcher for four years on Dixie’s baseball team. He was chosen his junior and senior seasons by his teammates and coaches to serve as a team captain. Tim met his wife Emily at Dixie where she was a member of Dixie’s volleyball team.

Defended and obtained favorable settlement on the eve of trial for manufacturer of aerial lifts in product liability case resulting in severe injuries.
Assisted in defense and procurement of settlement on behalf of HMOs in dozens of actions stemming from one of the largest hepatitis C outbreaks in United States history.
Currently represents world’s largest gaming company in various cases including premise liability, product defect and negligence actions resulting in fatal or serious injuries.
Currently represents hotel and casino against claims from patron suffering severe injuries while riding mechanical device.
Currently represents Fortune 500 Company in industrial accident case resulting in severe injury, including loss of limb.
Currently represents manufacturer of aerial lifts in negligence and product liability actions brought in Nevada and Washington resulting in severe personal injury.
