Nevada Business Magazine Names Four WWHGD Attorneys to 2017 Legal Elite
LAS VEGAS (June 2, 2017) --- Four WWHGD attorneys were recognized in the Nevada Business Magazine 2017 Legal Elite. Mike Valiente was named 2017 Legal Elite, Southern Nevada. Scott Lachman, Tim Mott and Marisa Rodriguez were named 2017 Best Up and Coming. This year marks the tenth edition of the Legal Elite. The annual list showcases attorneys whose peers have named them amongst the best of the best. The Legal Elite list includes only the top 4% of attorneys in the state. Every licensed attorney in the state of Nevada is eligible to vote on these prestigious awards.
Mike practices in the firm’s litigation practice group and represents clients in corporations and construction companies. He received the William S. Boyd Academic Achievement Award upon graduation from law school. He received both his B.A. and J.D. University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Scott focuses his practice on catastrophic injury and appellate law. He is the incoming Vice Chairman of the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Nevada. Scott was named the State Bar of Nevada’s Young Lawyer of the Year in 2013. Prior to joining WWHGD, Scott served as a judicial law clerk for Chief Justice Michael A. Cherry of the Supreme Court of Nevada. He received both his B.A. and J.D. from Michigan State University.
Tim is a Member at Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn & Dial wherein he focuses his practice in the areas of catastrophic injury, tort defense, product liability, and commercial litigation. He has vast experience in all facets of litigation, including two successful jury trials lasting a total of six weeks. Tim graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with his J.D. degree wherein he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Nevada Law Journal. Upon graduation, he received the prestigious William S. Boyd Outstanding Graduate Award and Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers Award.
Marisa is an associate in Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial's nationally-recognized Litigation group. She represents corporations, including Fortune 500 companies and some of the largest insurance companies in the world. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation and high exposure tort litigation, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death actions. Prior to joining WWHGD, Marisa served as a judicial law clerk for the late Honorable Susan Scann of the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County. She received both her B.S. and J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
