Scott Lachman Selected as Nevada Young Lawyer of the Year
Recent addition to Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial's Las Vegas office, Scott Lachman, was selected by the State Bar of Nevada as the Young Lawyer of the Year. The State Bar of Nevada presents a Young Lawyer of the Year award to a young lawyer or lawyers whose professional and public service achievements merit special recognition. Commitments to civic participation, community service achievements and contributions to the State Bar of Nevada and its Young Lawyers Section are given special consideration in awarding the recipient.
Mr. Lachman was previously a law clerk to Chief Michael A. Cherry of the Nevada Supreme Court where he served a three-year clerkship. He joins Jeremy Alberts as former Nevada Supreme Court clerks who are now WWHGD attorneys.
Mr. Lachman received his B.A. from Michigan State University where he served as vice president of the student body, executive director of the Association of Big Ten Schools and was the founding member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity.
He earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law. While in law school, he served as vice president of the Jewish Legal Society and was on the executive council of the Council of Graduate Students. Mr. Lachman is currently an associate of the American Inns of Court, Bruce R. Thompson Chapter, and is chairman of the Disaster Relief Legal Services of the State Bar of Nevada.
