Lee Roberts Appointed to Nevada Law Foundation Board of Trustees
Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial partner, D. Lee Roberts, Jr., has been appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court to the Board of Trustees of the Nevada Law Foundation. The Board is currently comprised of six attorneys and three laypersons who are responsible for administering to, and implementing, all programs and organizations the Foundation funds. Last year, Mr. Roberts was elected a Lifetime Colleague in the Foundation, which is an honor extended only to the leading attorneys and judges in Nevada who have demonstrated outstanding legal ability and who are recognized for their community outreach.
The Nevada Law Foundation was founded to address the need for funding of legal services to the poor and legally disadvantaged in Nevada. The program has given over $5 million in grants to programs throughout the state since its inception in 1983. Every day, these organizations make a positive difference in the lives of people in Nevada.
Mr. Roberts practices in WWHGD’s Las Vegas office, and has litigated hundreds of cases in 37 states, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico during his 24 year career. He concentrates his practice in construction, transportation, catastrophic tort and contract litigation. Mr. Roberts’ legal expertise has also been recognized through Super Lawyers, Chambers USA’s annual listing of “America’s Leading Business Lawyers” and “Best Lawyers in America” in Construction Law. He is a frequent speaker at various educational and legal seminars.
