Practice focuses on civil litigation and mediation with an emphasis on insurance coverage and government contracts. Also handles labor and employment litigation for both private and public employers of all sizes across the Southeast, and provides preventative advice to clients for avoiding discrimination and other employment-related suits.
Representative Cases/Experience
- Successfully represented municipal government in Americans with Disabilities Act claim, resulting in the establishment of valuable precedent in the Eleventh Circuit for public employers.
- Successfully defended America’s top-selling snack-food brands manufacturer in suit claiming slander and tortious interference.
- Successfully defended accounts-receivable outsourcing management firm in three separate suits alleging wrongful termination due to race and gender, with additional allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation; obtained summary judgment in each case.
- Defended one of nation’s top three drugstore chains against former store manager alleging claims of malicious prosecution, false imprisonment.
- Represent one of world's largest insurance firms in coverage litigation.
- Successfully defended the leading U.S. consumer magazine publisher and Southern-based affiliate in dispute involving right to produce Georgia travel guide; obtained summary judgment.
