Representative Cases/Experience
- Lead trial and appellate counsel for supplier of Chinese-Manufactured Drywall (CDW) in approximately 300 state court cases, including multiple putative class actions, throughout the State of Florida. Successfully briefed and argued numerous novel issues of Florida law.
- Successfully defended National Football League (NFL) in claims by former players that the NFL caused them to suffer over $10 million in investment losses. The trial court granted summary judgment in favor of the NFL, and the summary judgment was upheld by the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Representing national, publicly-traded company in lawsuit seeking tens of millions of dollars for alleged violations of Florida’s Little-RICO Act.
- Represented national engineering firm in obtaining summary judgment on Title VII discrimination claims. The summary judgment was upheld by the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Successfully briefed and argued opposition to class certification on behalf of nationally-recognized hospital. The denial of class certification was upheld by the Georgia Court of Appeals.
- Obtained jury verdict in favor of wireless service provider against statutory claims related to computer error affecting hundreds of customers.
- Successfully defended investment brokerage in arbitration brought by customer who had lost over $1 million in the stock market.
- Successfully represented general contractor in two-week AAA arbitration brought by subcontractor claiming excessive delays to multi-million dollar project.
