Practice focuses on commercial litigation, toxic tort litigation and product liability, with an emphasis on representing businesses in the automotive, consumer products, sporting goods, building products, aviation and transportation markets. Has assisted with cases involving commercial loss, serious injury and wrongful death throughout the United States.
Representative Cases/Experience
- Defending Chinese drywall suppliers in class action pending in Multi-District Litigation in the Eastern District of Louisiana and claims before various the Florida state courts. Prosecuted indemnity and other claims against foreign manufacturers of problematic drywall.
- Defending manufacturers, distributors and supplies in catastrophic tort and product liability litigation throughout the United States.
- Defending various manufacturers in asbestos-related litigation.
- Assisting in various aviation coverage issues.
- Assisted in the favorable resolution of dispute arising from a joint venture formed to invest in life settlements.
- Assisted in the successful prosecution of misappropriation of likeness by an international model whose image was misappropriated by a beauty supply company.
- Assisted in the successful prosecution of an aviation subrogation claim.
- Obtained voluntary dismissal with prejudice for defendant in product liability action where plaintiffs’ initial demand was $750,000.
